Hospital Sends Care Packages To Troops In Iraq

The troops in Iraq may still be overseas, but they are not forgotten. An east Texas hospital is getting ready to send more care packages to troops.

Vonita Williams is a health coordinator at Good Shepherd hospital in Longview. She and other employees put together a drive at the hospital gathering wipes, candy and other must need supplies for the troops. Vonita's own son is in the military, and she wants troops to know they're in our thoughts.

"I think this is a way of bringing it back around saying hey there are still guys in Iraq and we still need to show them that we support them," says Vonita.

In all the hospital has put together about 50 care packages.
