Grant says we will see lots of clouds today along with scattered showers from time to time. This will help to keep afternoon temperatures down across East Texas. Highs will range from the upper 40s in our northern counties to the lower 60s in Deep East Texas. Winds will be out of the southeast around 15 miles per hour. Tonight we will continue to see scattered showers and an occasional thunderstorm. Lows temperatures will drop into the lower 40s north to the upper 40s south. Thursday we will see scattered showers and thunderstorms through the midday hour. A few of these storms could be severe with strong gusty winds and hail being the main threat. After midday skies will begin to clear allowing for highs to reach the lower 60s in our northeastern counties to near 70 in are far southwestern counties.
