On this Valentine's Day, a heartwarming ceremony occurred as 13 couples, some married for more than 60 years, renewed their vows.
At Longview's Buckner-Westminster Assisted Living, the couples kissed as if it was the first day of their marriage. They talked about what they liked, and didn't like, about each other. They recited vows to each other, then kissed to seal the deal. For many it was a testament that love endures all.
"We've always said, when you're having fun time goes by in such a hurry," says Billie Embrey , who's been married to her husband Robert for 65 years.
"The first time I saw her I thought she was the prettiest lady I ever saw in my life. I still hold her hand pretty regularly. She's my best buddy," says Jack Shadle, who's been married to his wife Betty for 68 years.
All 13 couples were treated to a reception with family and friends and a toast of sparkling grape juice.
