2 East Texans receive Academy of Country Music nominations

EAST TEXAS (KLTV) -

Nominations for the 2013 Academy of Country Music awards were announced on Wednesday and two East Texas vocalists were nominated for several awards.

Kacey Musgraves, from Golden, was nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year, New Female Vocalist of the Year and Video of the Year for her song "Merry Go 'Round"

Lindale's Miranda Lambert was nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year, as well as Entertainer of the Year. Her song "Over You" received nominations for Single of the Year and Song of the Year.

The winners will be announced at the awards show on April 7 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Lambert won ACM awards in 2012 for Female Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year for "Four the Record."

The Academy of Country Music was founded in 1964 in Los Angeles.
