Hundreds of East Texans gave it their best stomp Saturday out at Kiepersol Estates in Bullard. Grape stomping was just one of the many activities out at the 4th Annual Harvest Festival held out at the winery.
Each year Kiepersol opens it's doors, allowing folks to get a look at one of the few working wineries in East Texas. Families can get a look at each step of the wine making process, they can even help out with the harvest. Operators say it's a great lesson in agriculture. Families say it's just plain fun.
"We heard about the festivities and thought it would be a great family fun day there are activities for the kids and wine tasting for the adults and it's been great," said Cathy Uresti."
Kiepersol Estates began planting grapes in Bullard back in 1998. They hope this year's harvest yields about 4,000 cases of wine.
