COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

Three people who are accused of theft from the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Property Room were in court Wednesday morning.

Michael Esposito, the Hamilton County Sheriff's Property Room Supervisor, was taken into custody on Tuesday following a six month long investigation. His wife, Allison Esposito and her son, Adam Fintak, were also arrested.

All three were charged with one count of tampering with evidence, a third degree felony. Bond for Fintak and Michael Esposito was set for $15,000. Allison Esposito was released on her own recognizance.

Michael Esposito has been an employee with the sheriff's office since 2001. He has been placed on unpaid administrative leave.

According to authorities, none of the property allegedly taken will impact the ability to prosecute any open cases.

Sheriffs say the investigation is ongoing, with additional charges pending.
