The Garmin Forerunner 910XT has been voted the best triathlon watch for 2013 by the test crew at the Heart Rate Watch Company. It represents the second time in two years that the watch has garnered the honor.
Bozeman, MT (PRWEB) February 08, 2013
The Garmin Forerunner 910XT bundle has been voted the best triathlon watch for 2013 for the second consecutive year at the Heart Rate Watch Company.
"For us, the bottom line is nothing else comes close to this watch for triathlon and no other GPS watch will measure as many different metrics as the Garmin 910XT," says Rusty Squire, President of the Heart Rate Watch Company. He adds, "The bundle brings the quick release strap to the table, which is awesome for transitions, along with the cadence sensor."
When the 910XT was introduced last year it brought laps, strokes and pool distance to its predecessor the Garmin 310XT through the use of accelerometer technology. Shallow water GPS, power output on the bike, speed, distance, maps and a new on board barometric altimeter are all part of what this triathlon watch does well according to Heart Rate Watch Company testers.
"Having just seen the new Garmin Edge 510 and the addition of Bluetooth Smart for instant uploads I would think this is a feature you will see in the next generation of the Garmin Forerunner 910XT series," says Squire. He adds, "The phone is such a great data transfer and location tool that this just makes sense as part of the GPS product evolution."
EDGE OUT FRONT BIKE MOUNT
The new Garmin Edge out front bike mount gets the Garmin 910XT with quick release kit out in front of your bike's handlebars making road training a whole lot safer. It also works great on tri-bars if the mount is rotated 90 degrees because it puts the watch right between the forearms for excellent visibility.
GET TWO FREE FITNESS BOOKS - A $50 VALUE
Heart Rate Watch Company is giving away two free fitness e-books that are great for beginning and advanced triathletes alike. The first book "How To Successfully Use A Heart Rate Monitor" is ideal for those looking to build a broad aerobic foundation. The second book, "How To Elevate Fitness With Strength and Interval Training" gets into building real high end speed and endurance.
"We don't want to just sell people heart rate monitors and not show them how to use them properly and these two books accomplish that," says Squire.
