HANOVER TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

Two people were injured after a crash Wednesday afternoon in Butler County.

It happened around noon at the intersection of Stillwell-Beckett and Lanes Mill Roads in Hanover Township.

The initial investigation indicates that Herbert Chasteen, 84, of Oxford, was northbound on Lanes Mill when he apparently failed to yield to crossing traffic, and entered the intersection of Stillwell-Beckett directly into the path of a westbound Chevrolet Avalanche driven by Daryle Heck, 47, also of Oxford.

After colliding, both vehicles traveled off the roadway and into a field just northwest of the intersection.

Heck was transported by Reily Township Life Squad to McCullough-Hyde Hospital in Oxford. Chasteen was transported by Air-Care to University Hospital in Cincinnati. Their conditions have not been released.
