Despite some rain, history was made Monday afternoon at Kilgore College.
It's the inaugural season for Rangers softball, as today marked the first ever home game for Kilgore College.
The opening ceremony was highlighted by Kilgore native Mike Clements, who presented the school with a check for 25 thousand dollars.
"This is something my family really believes in. I wouldn't be successful if it wasn't for athletics and sports," said Clements. "We just wanted to plant a seed to get a field house and some things done. It's a gift from God and a gift for Kilgore College."
The Rangers split their double-header against North Central Texas today.
KC won the first game 9-8 for their 2nd win of the year.
They lost 11-5 in the 2nd game.
