Touchdown for Hope raises money for mental health

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

The fourth annual Touchdown for Hope took place Sunday evening at Great American Ballpark raising money for mental heath care.

Anthony Muñoz and his wife Dede hosted the event.

Touchdown for Hope is a upscale Super Bowl party. Patrons enjoyed big screen televisions, live music and signature Cincinnati foods. The event was held in The Champions Club at Great American Ballpark offering sports fans views of the ballpark and the city.

Tickets for the event cost $100 and included all food and beverages. All proceeds for the event will go toward a great cause.

Money raised this year will assist the Harold C. Schott eating disorder program at the Linder Center of Hope.

"The study and treatment of eating disorders is extremely complex," said Dr Paul E. Keck of the Linder Center of Hope. " It's a devastating illness and in spite of the unprecedented growth of eating disorders in the past two decades, research continues to be under-funded, insurance coverage for treatment is inadequate, societal pressures to be thin remain rampant and obesity is an epidemic."

Over the past four years, Touchdown for Hope has consistently raised over $200,000 and continues to improve the lives of those suffering with mental illness.
