WARREN COUNTY, OH (FOX19) -
A Cincinnati man will serve eight years in prison for his participation in July's drug trafficking incident that supplied marijuana to students in two Warren County schools.
Allen Honeycutt, 59, was found guilty on Friday by a Warren County jury. He has been convicted of trafficking, possession and cultivation of marijuana, possession of criminal tools and engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity.
Warren County Drug Task Force announced charges in July against Honeycutt, six other adults and a juvenile for running a large drug operation. Investigators say the teen was selling high-grade marijuana to students and was earning $20,000 a month.
Police say the 17-year-old juvenile had been trafficking marijuana to Mason High School and Kings High School students over the last two years. The juvenile had six other current and past Mason High School students working under him.
Honeycutt was the last of the eight individuals to face charges.
"Allen Honeycutt and his co-conspirators made hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of dollars trafficking drugs to our young people," said Warren County Prosecutor David Fornshell. "It is particularly satisfying to see him have to answer for his despicable actions."
