Longview Police arrest man after he attacks patrol car

LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -

What started as a suicidal individual call, turns into a bizarre incident with a suspect attacking a patrol car.

It happened around midnight when Longview officers were trying to apprehend the subject when he fled the scene, and his vehicle was stopped near southern tire mart on loop 281.

Police say the man got out and began hitting the patrol car with a tire tool. The man was tazed, then taken hospital for observation.

No charges have been filed yet.
