Remembering Columbia

Coming up on Good Morning East Texas...

It is the sound, feeling and sight that many East Texans will remember for the rest of their lives. Ten years ago today, America suffered the loss of seven brave astronauts. We remember Space Shuttle Columbia tragedy.

And we'll have a look at how East Texans and NASA are coming together to keep the memories and spirit alive of those explorers.

A cold front is moving through the area this morning. This is producing a few more clouds than we expected yesterday, but no rain is falling from these clouds. This afternoon we will see partly sunny skies and cooler temperatures than we saw yesterday. Highs will reach the middle 50s in our extreme northeastern counties to the lower 60s across our southwestern counties. Winds will be out of the east northeast around 10 miles per hour.@Tonight will be mostly clear and mild. Winds will turn out of the southwest allowing temperatures to only drop into the 40s by Saturday morning. For Saturday we will see partly sunny skies and warmer temperatures. Highs will reach the middle 60s. Grant will take a look at when our next rain chance will be, coming up on Good Morning East Texas.
