Grand Saline ISD Superintendent Trish Elliott and Edgewood Superintendent Andy Baker both confirm that police have given them the "all clear." Both schools have lifted their precautionary lockdowns.
Grand Saline ISD and Edgewood ISD officials confirmed earlier Thursday that their schools were on external lockdown as a precautionary measure.
No one was spotted on or near any campus; however, in the wake of the Assistant DA being fatally wounded this morning in Kaufman County and the suspects possibly heading into Van Zandt County, police had suggested a precautionary lockdown of the schools.
