GMET Pet of the Week: Josey

Meet this weeks Good Morning East Texas' super cute beauty! Josey was rescued from a ditch in Smith County.

She is a 1-year-old black Chihuahua, weighs 10 pounds and is heartworm positive.

Josey is friendly, loves kids and other dogs and is spayed.  She is still somewhat timid, but we think that will change when she finds the right loving home.

Josey would be the ultimate lap companion as she loves to cuddle. While Josey did not have any accidents at her foster home over the weekend, we do not know yet if she is fully housetrained. We are working on crate training.

We have found that Josey has severe separation anxiety, most likely from being dumped by the family she obviously loved and she thought loved her.  Josey is afraid to be left alone so this little cutie needs a home with someone that can give her all the attention she needs or can take her with them.
