HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
Walmart
is limiting the amount of ammunition that you can buy at the big box store.
Consumers can now only buy three boxes per day, per customer. A Walmart spokesperson said
it's because supplies are limited.
An employee at the Walmart on Sparkman Drive in Huntsville said he can't keep the shelves stocked.
Gun
and ammo sales have sky-rocketed since the December 14 school shooting at
Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Connecticut.
Walmart is a member of New York
City Mayor Michael Bloomberg's coalition against illegal guns. The store has
also adopted a 10-point established by the Responsible Firearms Retailer
Partnership that goes beyond what the law requires.
