ST. CLAIR TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

A burglary investigation in Butler County has led to the discovery of a marijuana growing operation.

Deputies responded to a home in the 1300 block of Grandview Avenue in St. Clair Township on Monday for a report of a possible burglary.

Upon arrival, officers forced entry and checked the residence for possible burglary suspects.

No one was found, but police did discover a marijuana growing operation in the basement.

The Butler County Undercover Regional Narcotics unit responded to the scene and executed a search warrant and found an extensive grow room under construction.

The homeowner, Brian Hacker, 51, was already in jail on unrelated charges. No additional charges have been filed, but the case remains under investigation.
