JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

Director responsibilities include:

 

  • direct live and videotaped newscasts and programs
  • capable of directing and switching multi-camera, co-anchored newscasts and effectively handle all aspects of a fast paced show
  • oversee pre-production of graphics
  • coordinate, produce, and direct various station projects

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

 

KLTV seeks a full time Director/Technical Director.  We are the #1 station in East Texas and need a strong leader that is a proven self-starter with attention to detail, ability to learn quickly, and an overall understanding of live television.  Should be familiar with equipment, including production switcher, character generator and still store.  Flexibility and strong work ethic will lead to advancement.

 

College degree in Radio/Television preferred. Two to three years experience is preferred as a Director/Technical Director, or related experience in a television station.  Editing experience helpful.   Knowledge of Photoshop 7.0 is helpful.

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to work flexible schedule.

 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Have excellent hearing and vision (correctable). Regularly required to sit for extended periods of time.

    An East Texas boy scout has achieved his goal of raising enough money to purchase 31 bullet proof vests in 31 days. 13 year old Jaxon Holland was raising the funds for his Eagle Scout project and surpassed his goal. Holland raised $18,000 which will cover 34 vests plus accessories. The vests will be donated to the Wood County Sheriff’s office.
