SPD: Circle K bandits demanded money, cigarettes

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Shreveport Police are searching for two men they say robbed at gunpoint a Circle K early Tuesday morning in West Shreveport.

Police say they were called about 4:03 a.m. in response to an armed robbery by two men at 6025 W. 70th St.

Investigators describe one of the men as having a thin build and wearing a black bandana over his face, a dark-colored hoodie, and dark gloves. The man was armed with a black handgun and demanded money from the clerk.

The second man, standing about 5'8" to 6', demanded that the clerk hand over cigarettes from behind the counter. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money along with multiple cartons of cigarettes, the men left the scene on foot.

No one was injured.

Detectives say they are optimistic that surveillance footage will lead them to the identities of the robbers. In the meantime, anyone with information about this robbery is urged to call police at 318-673-6955 or Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
