PHOENIX (CBS5) -

A wanted man is behind bars thanks to an observant viewer of CBS 5 News.

Every Monday on the CBS 5 News 6:30 p.m. newscast, a special segment airs called Manhunt Monday.

Within 24 hours of that segment on Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, police got a tip on one of our featured suspects.

"Once his picture was shown on Channel 5 last night, we got an anonymous tip that he was staying at a house in south Scottsdale," said Department of Public Safety Officer Steve Norlin. "We followed up on that tip and located him at that address."

Officers arrested 37-year-old James Garrabo on a warrant for probation violation after a conviction for attempted sexual assault.

Norlin is part of the Arizona Fugitive Task Force headed up the U.S. Marshal Service, which served the warrant on the Scottsdale home.

"He's a very violent individual. He has a long criminal history with violence and is a documented gang member in the Valley," said Norlin.

Norlin said officers knocked on the door, but Garrabo refused to open it.

"We had to breach the door to get access into the house.  And we called him out at that point. After about five minutes he came out of the residence," said Norlin.

Norlin said the team of officers was ready to call in SWAT if Garrabo had not come out.  Norlin said Garrabo is looking at 10 to 12 more years in prison.

Around 4:15 p.m. PDT, the Cowboys arrived at the Ventura County Naval Base in Pt. Mugu. And every player was dressed in a suit and tie, a pretty business like approach already being sent from Head Coach Jason Garrett. Before taking buses to the training camp headquarters in Oxnard, the players and Coach Garrett took time to sign autographs for the military and their families.
