TEXARKANA, TX (KSLA) -

An East Texas man is behind bars for allegedly impersonating an officer on Wednesday.

Texarkana, Texas police say they were sent to the 2400 block of Richmond Road to investigate a suspicious person. Police say they found 18-year-old Devon Martin with an airsoft pistol. Police arrested Martin and charged him with possession of a dangerous toy.

Further investigation determined that Martin had previously identified himself as a Texarkana, Texas police officer by using an actual officer's business card.

Based on this information, a warrant was obtained for Martin for impersonating an officer. Martin was arrested again and booked into jail at the Bi-State Justice Center. His bond was set at $20,000.
