Murder-For-Hire Plot Suspect Pleads Not Guilty

A Palestine man allegedly involved in a murder-for-hire plot pleads not guilty in federal court.

He's charged with possessing an unregistered firearm.

Tom Lee Golightly, Jr., 44, was arrested last month in Tyler in the Target parking lot. The arrest came after an undercover operation by ATF agents. Agents had allegedly obtained a bomb from Golightly during the sting operation.

Golightly is scheduled to go on trial next month. If found guilty, he could face up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
