LINDEN, TX (KLTV) -

Friends and family of a wounded East Texas solider are hosting a fish fry benefit on Saturday, January 26.

Earlier this month, 19-year-old Casey Wacasey, was injured while serving in Afghanistan. Friends say he is currently in a hospital in Germany.

The fish fry will be hosted at the Linden VFW at 1300 Club Lake Road in Linden at 11 a.m. They will be serving fish, french fries, hush puppies, tarter sauce, beans, coleslaw, onions, and a desert for $10 per plate. Multiple bands have volunteered to provide entertainment.

At 2 p.m. organizers plan on hosting a "Fun Run," for motorcyclists. The "Fun Run" costs $20 per rider and $10 per passenger.

All money raised at the benefit will go to Casey's family for expenses while traveling to see him throughout his rehab.

People interested in volunteering or donating can find more information on the event's Facebook Page.
