Longview residents celebrate MLK Day early

Martin Luther King Day is Monday, but Longview residents wanted to get a head start on the celebration.

Saturday morning they braved brisk temperatures and held a march. People gathered and walked about a mile to the Broughton Recreation Center where the celebration continued.

Longview police and fire departments escorted the marchers traveling north on Martin Luther King Boulevard, and the event has grown so much over the years it's pretty much become a parade.
