TYLER, TX (KLTV) -
On Thursday, many in the Tyler business gathered to hear Tyler's economic future during the 29th Annual Perryman Economic Outlook Conference.
The room was packed to hear Dr. Ray Perryman give his economic forecast for Tyler, the state and the nation.
Dr. Perryman is the owner of the Perryman Group, which travels to different Texas cities to statistically estimate economic outlooks.
Dr. Perryman said he forecasts a healthy growth over an extended period of time for Tyler.
"It looks quite good right now, said Dr. Perryman. "You're getting a lot of spin off activity from the oil and gas sector that is driving a lot of growth. The health care industry continues to grown here. A lot of your service industries and distribution industries are growing. So it's really a nice diverse set of industries that is bringing a lot of growth to Tyler."
