Ahead of Wednesday's announcement on gun control changes, local gun dealers tell KLTV they've seen a large increase in sales.
Local gun shop owners say that since the first talks of possible new gun restrictions, their stores were flooded with people.
At Lock and Load, they said they are completely out of assault weapons, like the ones proposed to be banned. There have also been many people coming in and stocking up on ammunition, leaving the store shelves bear.
"We've had a ton of people come with everything that is going on, especially since what happened in December. With the new talks on gun laws and executive orders, people are just scared, they didn't know what was going to happen. It's been really hectic in the store, and in a lot of the gun stores around the United States," Robert Quates, Lock and Load Employee said.
Lock and Load in Tyler said at this time of year, after the holidays their stock is usually lower, but with the new gun proposals, they are sold out of a lot of their stock.
