President Barack Obama is looking over recommendations from Vice President Joe Biden's task force on gun control. Those recommendations have not yet been made public, but on Wednesday President Obama is set to reveal what gun control measures he is considering.
"I can tell you that tomorrow, the President and the Vice President will hold an event here at the White House to unveil a package with concrete proposals to reduce gun violence and prevent future tragedies," White House Press Secretary, Jay Carney, said.
In the wake of the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School, President Obama is promising action.
"If there is a step we can take that will save even one child from what happened in Newtown, we should take that step," President Obama said.
The recommendations included 19 steps the President could take by executive order and also suggested legislation that could be presented to Congress.
The proposals have many gun salesmen and buyers upset.
"Any type of gun bans or new gun laws, all that is infringing on our Second Amendment rights. There is already gun laws out there, criminals don't abide by gun laws," Lock and Load employee, Robert Quates, said.
Since talks of possible gun bans and law changes, Quates said his store has been flooded with people trying to stock up.
"Our gun sales have skyrocketed through the roof. We have to call our gun distributors everyday just to see if they have a gun in stock for us to buy. My shelves are empty. You just can't get it. You can't get guns or amo. Gun makers just can't keep up with the demand," Quates said.
Wednesday's announcement is also rumored to include a ban on assault weapons and more robust background checks.
The National Rifle Association and other gun rights groups, have vowed to fight gun restrictions.
