PALESTINE, TX (KLTV) -
The Palestine Police Department is searching for a man following an armed robbery at a local store on Saturday night.
At around 8:15 p.m., officers responded to an armed robbery at the Family Dollar Store on East Spring Street in Palestine. When they arrived, witnesses informed officers that a black male entered the store armed with a handgun and demanded money. After being given the money from the registers, the suspect left the store with an undetermined amount of money.
Police searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.
Witnesses told officer that the suspect is a black male, around six feet tall, with a thin build. The man was wearing a white jacket, white gloves, dark pants and black shoes. His face was covered with and he was carrying a black handgun.
