Crews from the Longview Fire Department were dispatched to a structure fire in the 2300 block of 13th Street around 7:22 a.m., Monday.
When fire crews arrived on the scene they found fire in the central heater closet and attic of the home.
No one was home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries to firefighters. The fire did minimal damage to the contents of the home and approximately $12,000 damage to the structure, according to Longview Fire Marshal, Johnny Zackary.
The fire started in the central heat closet and extended into the attic.
According to Zachary, the fire displaced two adults and three children, ages 4, 10, 12. The Red Cross was notified and will provide assistance.
