Will East Texas see snow...again?

Posted: Updated:
TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

An upper level disturbance will be moving from west to east into East Texas this evening and tonight. The disturbance has a chance to allow for a wintry mix of precipitation to occur, from a light freezing rain to sleet to even a few snow flurries. There are not expected to be any significant accumulations from this event, however, we will, as always, keep a close eye on any changes that may occur.

Increasing clouds overnight tonight here in ETX with light rain is expected to move in later this evening, mostly after midnight. Now, as temperatures fall into the lower- to middle-30s tonight, the light rain may turn into a light rain/light sleet event tonight with even a few snow flurries thrown in.

No significant ice/sleet/snow accumulations are expected at this time. The chances will mainly occur after midnight tonight and continue through the mid-morning hours. After that, chances for a light rain are possible.

Lows overnight tonight should range from the lower 30s for the northern half of ETX to the middle 30s over southern areas. Stay tuned for the latest on KLTV-7 News at 4, 5, 6 and 10 as well as on KLTV.com.
