PHOENIX (CBS5) -

A mobile home fire in Phoenix ended up displacing four families Wednesday afternoon, officials said.

Eight adults and one child received assistance from the Grand Canyon Chapter of the American Red Cross.

Firefighters said the blaze started in debris outside the home.

At least a half acre of debris was on fire and flames spread up to the house, according to Phoenix Fire Spokesman Jonathan Jacobs.

Firefighters found one cat dead inside and a dog hiding in a shed.

No one was injured. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
