A Texas native, Lexie Cook joined the KLTV 7 News team in April 2011. She is excited to produce and deliver quality stories while reporting for the East Texas community.
A 2011 graduate from the University of Southern California, Lexie has a BA in Broadcast and Digital Journalism and a minor in Occupational Therapy.
She has also won several national journalism awards, including a Hearst Television Award for her feature story on people living in the flood tunnels of Las Vegas.
Lexie spent three years reporting and anchoring for USC's live nightly news operation. While at the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, Lexie also studied documentary production, print, investigative, and online journalism.
While living in Los Angeles, Lexie worked in KABC and KNBC's newsrooms and at The Hollywood Reporter, TV Guide, and Young Hollywood.
Lexie found her love for journalism at Allen High School where she was an anchor and reporter for the school's live daily newscast, KGLE 3 Teen News.
When she's not in the newsroom, Lexie enjoys cooking up all different kinds of food, exploring the outdoors and meeting people in the East Texas community.
