TEMPE, AZ (CBS5) -

The Navy Midshipmen are gearing up for their game against Arizona State University in the third Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl this weekend. Off the field, they're making their presence known at ASU.

The giant "A" on the so-called "A" mountain next to campus has been painted navy blue and gold.

On Friday morning you could see the navy and gold "A" with a banner that reads "Go Navy" and an American flag.

The Sun Devils play the Navy in San Francisco on Saturday.

This isn't the first time a rival school has messed with the "A" on Tempe's Hayden Butte.

In October, when ASU played the Oregon Ducks, it was painted green.

In November, the "A" was painted red, well before the rivalry game between ASU and University of Arizona.

The Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl kicks off at 2 p.m. MST on ESPN2.
