We are starting our countdown of the top sports stories in East Texas in 2012.
We're calling it the "Top 7 on 7."
The stories were voted on by the viewers, and will air for seven consecutive days, until #1 on January 1st.
Here is the countdown so far, and the date the story will air.
#7: Three East Texas high school football teams (Tenaha, Daingerfield, Gilmer) advance to state finals. (December 26th)
#6: East Texan Brandon Belt wins World Series with SF Giants. (December 27th)
#5: Hudson/Henderson duel in state softball title game. (December 28th)
#4: Adrian Peterson returns from injury, makes run a record books. (December 29th)
