Families escape apartment fire

LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -

Around 9:20 Wednesday night, firefighters were called to the Towne Oaks Apartments on Tryon Road for a reported structure fire.

Firefighters say 3 families were in apartments in the building, when a fire ignited in a wall that housed a fireplace.

Everyone was able to get out of the apartments unharmed.
