HOUSTON COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

The Houston County Sheriff's Office has released a photograph of two Apple Springs firefighters who rescued an American flag out of the rubble from Tuesday's tornado.

According to a press release, the firefighters, Logan Presley and Esau Hernandez, found the flag in the woods behind the debris. After bringing it out, they took the time to properly fold it.

At the same location, two other flags were blown off the poles. Before the firefighters left the scene, they re-attached the flags to a utility pole.

The tornado destroyed a feed store near Crockett and caused damage to a bank in Lovelady. The picture is taken at the remains of a travel trailer on County Road 4550.

Representatives of the National Weather Service are on the scene Wednesday to determine the strength of the tornado.
