Longview police arrest third man in apartment burglary case

LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -

Longview Police have arrested a third suspect in connection with an apartment burglary that left one suspect dead.

Just before 10 p.m. on December 17, officers were dispatched to a shooting that just occurred at the Towne Oaks North Apartments located in the 2500 block of N. Eastman Road. When they arrived on the scene, they were told a man entered the apartment and assaulted one of the residents. That suspect, Noah Wood, 17 of Longview then entered a bedroom of the apartment and was shot by another resident at the location with a rifle, and pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have arrested two other men now in connection with this aggravated robbery. The most recent subject arrested is identified at Robert Acles, 20, of Longview.

Acles was charged with aggravated robbery and remains in the Gregg County Jail The case will be forwarded to the D.A.'s office for further review, and remains under investigation.
