The sentencing hearing for an East Texas man charged in the death of a Tyler mother will be rescheduled.
Today, 21-year-old Dallas Youmans of Tyler was set to be sentenced on an intoxication manslaughter charge from May when a two-vehicle accident killed a mother of two and caused Youmans to face intoxication manslaughter charges.
The new hearing date has not yet been set. Both Yeomans' attorney and the court where his sentencing is supposed to take place are in the middle of other trials.
Tyler police said they have evidence to suggest that 21-year-old Dallas Youmans was on prescription drugs when he hit a car on Paluxy Drive.
The car he struck was driven by 38-year-old Tara Smith. She died at a Tyler hospital following the crash.
