Coming up on Good Morning East Texas...
We have new details in the search for a missing East Texas man. Just released surveillance video and what investigators say it could reveal about the night Ronnie Gammage vanished.
Plus, it's the most neglected appliance in the home, yet it receives the most abuse due to the heat and products used in them. Fireplaces, wood stoves, gas logs, and direct vents need a yearly inspection to ensure they perform correctly. Good Morning East Texas' Samantha Jordan will be live in the studio to tell us what we need to know about handling our chimney with care.
And, Brett Collar says mostly cloudy skies are expected today, though we may see a
few peeks of sunshine from time to time today. We are also looking to see a few
showers and thunderstorms, but those chances get much better as we head into
the evening hours. Highs today will top out in the lower to middle 70s. The
winds will also be high at times today, so the fire danger is a little bit
higher. Showers and thunderstorms are expected this evening and overnight, and
some of these could be severe with the biggest threat being strong damaging
winds, however hail and an isolated tornado or two cannot be ruled out. Lows
tonight will drop into the lower to middle 40s, some parts of Deep East Texas
may only drop into the upper 40s. More clearing will take place behind this
front on your Thursday and a much cooler air mass will move into East Texas.
Highs on your Thursday will only top out in the middle 50s, and once again the
winds will be high at times so there is a little bit of a fire danger. Click here to sign up for weather texts and email alerts.
