NEWTOWN, CT (KLTV) - 6-year-old James Mattioli was born on March 22, 2006. He died on December 14, 2012, in Sandy Hook, Connecticut.
James is described by his parents, Cindy and Mark, as an energetic, loving friend to all. They say he loved sports, including baseball, basketball, swimming, arm wrestling, and playing games on the iPad.
According to the Connecticut Post, James often visited a stable where his sister Anna rode horses. The owner of the stable said James was very curious and friendly, asking about the equipment used in the stable to care for the horses.
His family also said that James loved to sing out loud, and hoped to sing on stage someday.
