From the Texas Department of Public Safety:
The Texas Department of
Public Safety has added Charles Leon Carr, 55, to the Texas 10 Most
Wanted Sex Offender list, and a $3,000 cash reward is now offered for
information leading to his capture. In 1975, he was sentenced to 99 years in
prison for the violent sexual assault of an 11-year-old girl in Abilene. He was
released from prison in 2008 and disappeared in 2009.
Carr was born in New Jersey,
his last known residence was in Austin, and he has ties to El Paso. He could be working
in air conditioning repair, refrigerator repair, machine operation, data entry
or as a laborer. Carr's criminal history
includes Sexual Assault of a Child, Transportation of Unlawful Aliens and
Theft. He is wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service for Probation Violation
and by the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles for Parole Violation.
Carr is 6 feet tall and
weighs about 190 pounds. His tattoos include a skull on his outside upper
right arm and skull/dagger/roses on his outside upper left arm. He also
has an operation scar on the inside of his right knee and a cut scar his inside
right hand.
