LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -
The employees at a Longview business created an unusual Christmas tree for the second year in a row.
AP Rentals in Longview, near the corner of Spur 63 and Highway 80, created a Christmas tree out of Porta-Potties this year. They rent the portable lavatories and decided to make good use of the extras that were sitting around.
Yes, they put together a Porta-Potty Christmas tree. It could be the only one in the world. The whole thing is sitting on scaffolding, and they used a forklift to put the tree in place.
"We came up with the idea last year, actually and put it up pretty quick. Last year's version was a lot smaller. This year we used 34 portable toilets to make it, and it's just bigger and better than it was," said Chris Stuckey, inventor of the Porta-Potty tree.
Next year, not only will it be bigger, they want to put a Santa in the top Porta-Potty.
