We are 12 days from Christmas and soon all of the angels from the Salvation Army Angel Tree will be getting the gifts so many East Texans donated.
The Salvation Army says they started this Christmas season with 2000 angels, but there are still some who have not been adopted.
"Normally we have about 2000, or so this time of year so being this close to our deadline we're very pleased, but we're hoping that we will get those adopted before the end of the week," says Major, Ben Lawrence, Salvation Army.
The Salvation Army says close to 1800 angels have already been adopted, there are still 200 left.
"I've said it ever since we got here, and this is our third Christmas here, this is a very giving community and we couldn't do what we do here in Tyler without the community. We can't thank them enough," says Lawrence.
"We just want to make sure that all the Angel Tree angels have a special Christmas. Not that it comes from the Salvation Army, but for them to know that the season is about giving," says Chantel Millin, with the Salvation Army.
