Agg. sexual assault of a child case ends in mistrial

SMITH COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

The trial of a Whitehouse man charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child ended in a mistrial.

After deliberating for more than 8 hours on November 30, the jury could not reach a verdict in Russel Wayne Inks III's case.

Inks has been out on bond since he was arrested in April of 2010.

A new trial is expected to take place sometime next year.
