Students in Dougherty County are helping spread kindness throughout the community.
Westover High School students made this chain of kindness which is 4,180 feet long.
They joined students from many other schools around the county to make these links, hoping to cause a chain reaction of kindness.
The program is part of Rachel's challenge in honor of the first person killed in the Columbine High School shooting massacre.
"I feel that it symbolizes that we're supporting Rachel as well as her family. But not only that, coming together so if something did happen here we could have that support too," Tasia McCartherens, a senior at Westover High.
Rachel's brother spoke at Westover last year.
Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital's Network of Trust partnered with Dougherty County Schools to put this event together.
The goal is to make a 29-mile chain of kindness that will spread across the community.
