Knife-wielding shoplifter disarmed by employees

LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -

Longview police arrested 44-year-old Rodney Webb at the Longview Mall Tuesday night after he pulled a knife on store employees.

Witnesses say Webb was observed shoplifting. When confronted, he pulled a knife.

An employee knocked the knife away, but Webb then bit an employee as he was being restrained.

Webb remains in the Gregg County Jail charged with aggravated robbery.
