NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

A Nacogdoches man received a sentence of 8 years probation during a plea hearing Tuesday for kidnapping his ex-girlfriend at gunpoint in February 2011.

Roderick O'Keith Wiley accepted a lesser charge of kidnapping. Originally, he was charged with aggravated kidnapping, a first-degree felony.

According to the arrest affidavit, Nacogdoches Police officers were called to the woman's house on Feb. 7. She told police that Wiley had come to the house and asked to speak to her outside. When she went outside, Wiley pulled a handgun, put it to her head, and demanded that she get in his car.

The woman told police that Wiley took her to a nearby park and threatened to shoot her if she didn't tell him who she was dating. He then took her to a location near her house and let her out of the vehicle.

Police obtained an arrest warrant for Wiley the next day, and he was booked into the Nacogdoches County Jail.
