A basketball player from an East Texas college was featured on ESPN's Sportscenter Thursday after a spectacular dunk over an opposing player.
During Wednesday night's game between the Jacksonville College Jaguars and the Tyler Junior College Apaches, Jaguars sophomore Daniel Skinner jumped from just inside the free throw line and slammed an impressive dunk over an Apache defender. Even though Skinner was called for a charge on the dunk, which negated the basket, his jam ended up as the top play on Sportscenter's Top 10 later that evening.
Unfortunately for the Jaguars, Sportscenter top plays don't count on the scoreboard, as Jacksonville fell to TJC in overtime, 91-89.
Jacksonville College is a two-year liberal arts college located in Jacksonville, TX.
The Jaguars take on Trinity Valley College on Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
