Longview apartments damaged by afternoon fire

LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -

Longview fire crews were called out to a blaze at an apartment complex this afternoon.

Crews responded to the Magnolia Ridge Apartments in the 16-hundred block of Eastman road around 3:30 today.

The blaze was doused quickly, but did substantial damage to one apartment. Other nearby apartments received smoke and water damage.

Investigators say it appears the fire started in the kitchen area of the apartment while no one was home. Nobody one was injured during this fire.
