TYLER, TX (KLTV) -
A highway sign now marks the place where an East Texas man was killed in a hit-and-run last April.
Jacky Wayne Johnston, 65, was turning into his own driveway when he was hit by a truck from behind. His motorcycle then became stuck underneath the truck.
Surveillance video from a nearby gas station showed the truck continuing down the road and throwing sparks from the bike. Officials say Johnston was thrown from his bike on impact.
An official state highway sign now stands at the crash site as a reminder that the man responsible for Johnston's death has not been arrested. Members of Johnston's motorcycle club applied to have the sign put up. It has been standing along Highway 64E since the first week of November, the week of Johnston's birthday.
An arrest warrant is now out for the driver, Eduardo Viramontes. Currently, authorities are not sure if he is still in East Texas or if he fled to Mexico. He is charged with an accident involving personal injury or death, a third degree felony.
Anyone with information on Viramontes' whereabouts is asked to call Tyler DPS.
